Lee On Solent, in the 4th round, secure a fine victory over local rivals Chichester with a 4-1 win.
Lee On Solent got off to a flying start with Vicky Botwtight, still celebrating a career high of world no.11, beating the Chichester youngster Suzie Pierrepont 3-1.
Chris Simpson was then up against the vastly experienced Chris Tomlinson who proved too strong for the young Lee player and won 3-0.
Ritwik Bhattacharya, in his first season for Lee, then took on Lauren Elriani and was just too good for Lauren on the night and had a comfortable 3-0 win.
The most controversial match of the night was between Lee Drew and Tim Vail with both players asking for 'lets' and 'strokes' all the time. This match was destined to go to 5...and it did. The 5th game was up for grabs and with more refereeing decisions being argued it was finally Lee who came through to take it 13/11.
The last match of the night was Bradley Ball and old rival Tim Garner. Tim took the first game but then Bradley took control and took the next 3 games to win 3-1.
This was a fine performance by the Lee team and the crowd of over 80 seemed to really get behind their players.
This 4-1 win now moves the Lee team up to 3rd position in Group B with only one more match to play this half of the season.
