Ipswich Sports Club is looking for a strong service lead coach to manage the running and organisation of the squash coaching programmes, and provide a fantastic member service.

About the Role
Ipswich Sports Club is looking for an outstanding Head Squash & Racketball Coach (Level 3+) who is well organised, can use their initiative, highly motivated and can be affable with people from all walks of life. You will act as an ambassador for the Club and promote and develop Squash & Racketball, with the support of an Assistant Professional and a dynamic Squash Committee. You will have a proven track record of growing squash Club memberships and junior programs. The role requires management and development of the established coaching programmes including the existing Junior, Schools and Adult programmes as well as promoting Racketball to the members.

  • 300+ squash members of 1600 total membership

  • 15 Active Squash Leagues

  • 8 Active Racketball Leagues

  • 60+ Active Juniors

  • 6 squash courts (5 glass backed), 2 hockey astro hockey pitches (1 floodlit) gym, studio, bar and catering

  • 11 tennis courts, (3 indoor acrylic, 2 outdoor floodlit acrylic, 3 outdoor floodlit astro and 3 outdoor floodlit tarmac courts)

  • The Club is run by the members for the members

About you
As our Head Squash & Racketball Professional you will need:

  • Passion for the Club and development of Squash & Racketball

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills

  • Able to create strong meaningful connections with National Bodies i.e. England Squash and Racketball Association, Local private and public schools and businesses

  • Knowledge of all areas of squash including coaching across various levels
    Develop the highly successful Junior Program

Following a fantastic 18 months during which time our previous Head Professional has established and developed an outstanding Junior Program, attracting Nationally ranked players from across the region. In addition to this, the club has grown and maintained a thriving Racketball section which is gaining momentum each and every month. Our vision is to develop a “centre of excellence” that will provide an outstanding service to our members, irrespective of their playing ability. The Club has also become established at running high profile events including the first ever Ipswich Legends of Squash featuring Peter Nicol, Simon Parke and Alex Gough. The club has very high expectations and has been well established for over 40 years. Our next appointment will need to be able to progress the section to the next stage.

The Los Angeles Athletic Club

The Los Angeles Athletic Club, (www.laac.com ) located in Los Angeles,   California, USA is seeking a full-time Squash   Professional/Athletic Department Assistant.
 Our Club is a full service facility.  We offer squash, (four courts) handball,   volleyball, basketball, swimming, aerobics classes, Yoga, Pilates, kickboxing,   weightlifting equipment, fitness center and more. We also have four restaurants,   72 hotel rooms and banquet facilities.  

The Club's squash program has a strong reputation   for high quality coaching and junior development. We have more   than 160 squash-playing members and expect to reach 200 members in the next two   years.  We want to share a vision of   growing our program and give our new squash professional the freedom to make it happen.
The successful candidate must demonstrate   superior playing and coaching ability and be able to train a broad range of   players, from elite to juniors to beginners. The position requires participation in all aspects of the squash program,   including teaching private and group lessons, administration of in-house leagues, running professional   tournaments, and all other traditional activities of a private club squash   program.  

Other aspects of the position   include administrative duties to include budget development and fiscal   responsibility, athletic department management responsibilities and general   operations and upkeep of the   department.  
A college degree preferred, as well as excellent communication and computer skills. Two to four years management experience   is a plus. Must be flexible to the changing needs of the Club and department.   Must be a team player and have a professional appearance, be a problem solver, organized and an ability to grow business and provide excellent customer   service.
Compensation includes a competitive salary,   private lesson and clinic fees -   and commissions on tournament fund-raising.    We offer medical and dental insurance, a 401(k)   benefit plan, paid vacation, sick days, holiday   pay, complementary parking in the Club parking garage, complementary meals, athletic department privileges and more.

GLASS COURT ON THE MARKET

Rusty Koys from Slovakia is selling his mobile all
glass ASB court with Harrow wooden floor, which he
says is in perfect playable condition, after use at a
number of events in Central and Western Europe. He
also says that it could be erected and used also as a
permanent court at already existing squash club. The
selling price is €35000, including tailor-made
transportation container, all construction utilities and
