OLD BOYS REUNION
Duffield travel to Manchester to face a full set of their ex-players - even the opposing manager used to play for Duffield !

National league round 10 - Tuesday 9 March

Manchester- Pontefract v Benz- Bavarian Duffield

Probable line up is;
Lee Beachill v Nick Matthew
James Wilstrop v Renan Lavigne
Nick Taylor v Paul Hargrave
Marcus Berrett v Jon Kemp
Madeline Perry v Vicky Lankester

Manchester manager Yawar Abbas, a former Duffield NL player, is clearly going for the maximum of 10 wins out of 10 as he fields his strongest male line up. One interesting statistic is that all 5 Manchester players have at some stage worn a Duffield NL shirt.

However, Duffield will travel in hope that the Manchester City home form will spread accross the road to the National Squash Centre and also that in the Midlands "local derby" it will be Steven Russell's turn for his team to win 3-2. This is not forgetting the dream that Phil Songhurst had which is mentioned elsewhere in the SP reports.

The Duffield supporters and players have certainly not given up hope of firstly getting to the venue in time. Banno has even given up beer for lent and in returm is praying hard for a miracle for his team.
