Reports

09-Oct, Semis:
No Trouble For Top Seeds
Top seeds Natalie Grainger and Stephanie  Brind both scored comfortable semi-final victories at the Concourse Club, with both Samantha Teran and Amelia Pittock looking tired as their runs came to an end.

08-Oct, Quarters:
Teran Fights Back Again

The USA's Natalie Grainger continued her comeback with a comfortable straight games victory over England's Vicky Hynes, and now faces Samantha Teran in the semi-finals in Atlanta.

Teran, the Mexican who herself has only just returned to the WISPA tour after a lengthy injury lay-off, made a spectacular recovery against Australia's Heidi Mather.

Two games down and 8-3 down in the third, she battled back to record a second successive five game victory - 10/8 in the fifth in the first round, 10/9 this time! "Having played two 90-minute matches she will need all the energy she has tomorrow," said event spokesman Andre Maur.

In the bottom half of the draw England's second seed Stephanie Brind meets Australia's Amelia Pittock, after both completed their second successive straight games wins.

07-Oct, Round One:
Grainger eases into Atlanta Quarters

Natalie Grainger, the world number five who took a rest break in February, made a successful return to the WISPA tour as she eased into the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Masters. Grainger's second comeback match will be against England's Vicky Hynes.

There was more American success as Lily Lorentzen scored an upset win against Kate Roe to set up a quarter-final with second seed Stephanie Brind.

In the best match of the evening, Mexico's Samantha Teran staved off a comeback from Australia's Melissa Martin. From 2-1 down Martin reached 8-5 in the fifth, but Teran herself recovered to take the final game 10-8. Teran now faces another Australian, Heidi Mather.

Grainger back in Atlanta
Since taking a break from the WISPA tour in February, the USA's Natalie Grainger has maintained her number four spot in the world rankings on the back of points won in the first half of the year. She makes her comeback to the tour in Atlanta, and needs to start earning points quickly if she wants stay at the top.

England's Stephanie Brind is seeded to meet Grainger in the final.
