Koukal Captures Czech Crown
Qualifier Jan Koukal clinched his fourth PSA Tour title – and the fourth in his home town – when he outplayed France's eighth seed Fabien Verseille in the final of the Hector Companion Czech Open Squash Championship at the Sport Centre & Hotel Hector in the Czech Republic capital Prague.

Koukal capitalised on his error-free squash – and the nervousness of an opponent who was in his first PSA final – to dominate the match and earn an 11-4 11-6 11-6 victory.

Koukal On Course For Fourth PSA Title In Hometown
Jan Koukal, the Czech number one, is one match away from winning his fourth successive PSA Tour title in his hometown of Prague after beating fellow qualifier Shaun le Roux, from England, in the semi-finals of the Hector Companion Czech Open Squash Championship at the Sport Centre & Hotel Hector in the Czech Republic capital.

Koukal, who upset second-seeded Swede Badr Abdel Aziz in the quarter-finals, beat le Roux 11-6 5-11 11-4 11-5 to reach his seventh PSA final.

His surprise opponent in the final will be Frenchman Fabien Verseille, the eighth seed who upset Hungary's No3 seed Andras Torok 11-7 11-10 10-11 2-11 11-2.

Verseille, a 20-year-old from Aix-en-Provence who is only in his first year as a PSA member, is celebrating his maiden appearance in a Tour final.

Koukal Cooks Up First Round Upset In Prague

The 22-year-old from Prague now goes on to meet Sweden's Badr Abdel Aziz after the No2 seed beat Egypt's Mohamed Elkeiy 11-4 11-4 11-10 at the Sport Centre & Hotel Hector.

Canadian favourite Sabir Butt beat English qualifier Philip Nightingale 11-8 9-11 11-10 11-4 to set up a quarter-final clash with France's eighth seed Fabien Verseille.
