Creed Captures British Virgin Islands Crown

Welshman
Peter Creed fulfilled his top-billing in the 2014 British Virgin Islands Open Squash Championship when he despatched second seed Dane Sharp in straight games in the final of the PSA Challenger 5 event at Tortola Sports Club in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.

The five-time Welsh champion from Caerphilly reached the final – his seventh on the PSA Tour – without dropping a game.

It was the fourth for Canadian Sharp, a 28-year-old from Toronto ranked just a single place below Creed in the PSA World Rankings.

Creed, the World No.81, went into the match boasting a 2/0 lead over his rival in previous Tour clashes – and duly notched up his third win after beating Sharp 11-7, 11-5, 11-7.

The triumph marks the third PSA World Tour title of Creed's career – but his first for two years.
