Mustonen Rallies To Racquet Club Success

Facing his first seed in the event, Finland's Henrik Mustonen pulled off a notable upset when he beat Frenchman Mathieu Castagnet in the final of the Racquet Club Invitational to win the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash title at The Racquet Club in St Louis, USA.

But the 20-year-old from Hollola had to save two match-balls before overcoming third seed Castagnet, ranked 63 in the world, to win the title 9-11, 11-8, 13-11, 8-11, 12-10 in a marathon one hour and 55 minutes!

Fourth seed Mustonen, ranked almost 20 places below the Frenchman, had reached the final without dropping a game.

The triumph marks the Finnish number two's third career PSA Tour title.

Castagnet Casts Out Waller In St Louis Semis

Frenchman Mathieu Castagnet captured an unexpected place in the final of the Racquet Club Invitational when he despatched England's top seed Adrian Waller in the semi-finals of the PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event at The Racquet Club in St Louis, USA.

After surviving a challenging tie-break second game, the third seed from Le Mans went on to beat Waller 11-5, 16-14, 11-5 to earn his fifth PSA Tour final appearance.

Castagnet, 24, will now face Henrik Mustonen for the title after the fourth-seeded Finn beat England's Lewis Walters 11-6, 11-4, 11-8.

The unseeded Walters, a 22-year-old from Nottingham, made his breakthrough in the event in the first round where he ousted Australia's second seed Scott Arnold in four games.
