Seeds Sink As Delasaux Delivers In Ontario

In his third successive PSA World Tour final as a qualifier, England's Laurence Delasaux finally clinched his first title of the year in the Danone/Naya Niagara Classic, a $6,025 Super Satellite squash event in its inaugural year at The Club at White Oaks in Niagara on the Lake in Ontario, Canada.

The 24-year-old from Hull, ranked 297 in the world after taking a three-year absence from the professional circuit, despatched third seed Zac Alexander, then top seed Scott Arnold - both from Australia - before lining up against local hero Robin Clarke, the second seed from Canada, in the final.

But Delasaux was in tip-top form - and brushed aside the 23-year-old from Ottawa 11-6, 11-5, 11-1 in 37 minutes to lift the third PSA Tour title of his career.
