Almezayen Celebrates Jena Double In Kuwait

Abdullah Almezayen confirmed his status as the in-form Kuwaiti of the moment when he beat Pakistan's Danish Atlas Khan in the final of the Jena Super Satellite No2 at the Sheikh Salem Al-Sabah Squash Complex in South Surrah to claim his second PSA Tour title on home soil in seven weeks.

After defeating fifth-seeded South African Gary Wheadon in the semi-finals of the $6,000 event, the 21-year-old third seed from Kuwait City face unseeded Atlas Khan in his fourth PSA Tour final in nine months.

Danish Atlas Khan had enjoyed a sensational South Surrah run - following his first round win over fourth seed Karim AGA Samy by upsetting Ireland's No2 seed John Rooney in the semi-finals.

And the 15-year-old from Peshawar - celebrating his maiden Tour final appearance - battled for 41 minutes before left-hander Almezayen ultimately secured his 11-8, 11-8, 11-8 title victory.

The win follows Almezayen's triumph in the 1st Jena Super Satellite in February - and brings his career Tour title successes to three.
