Iran Double For Gamal In Tehran

Egypt's Mazen Gamal claimed his second successive PSA Tour squash title in Iran when he beat Hong Kong favourite Anson Kwong in the final of the inaugural International Norooz Tournament at the Enghlab Sports Complex in Tehran.

The 23-year-old from Cairo, winner of the FAJR International title last month, reached the final of the Satellite event when his Pakistan opponent Wasim Shad, the third seed, retired injured after the second game.

Kwong, 22, arrived in his maiden Tour final after overcoming surprise opponent Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sanaee, the sixth seed from Iran, in the other semi.

In the final, second seed Gamal extended his unbeaten run in Iran with a 12-10, 11-6, 12-14, 11-9 victory over Kwong in 53 minutes.

The victory marks the second Tour title of Gamal's career.
