Second Seeds Score In
Super Satellite Finals
Second seeds Mohd Ali
Anwar Reda and Line Hansen upset the favourites in today's
(Monday) finals of the NSC Squash Super Satellite No1 to win the new
Tour titles at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil in
the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
Egypt's Mohd Ali Anwar Reda
made it a hat-trick of trophies this month in KL when he dismissed Dylan
Bennett, the top seed from the Netherlands, 11-6, 11-7, 11-10 (2-0) in
38 minutes.
The triumph marks the
18-year-old from Cairo's fourth career PSA Tour title.

Line Hansen made up for the
disappointment of a shock first round exit in last week's WISPA World
Tour Satellite event in KL to net her second title in the month.
The 24-year-old Dane from
Odense recovered from a whitewash in the first game to beat Malaysia's top
seed Sharon Wee 0-9, 9-3, 9-7, 5-9, 9-5 in 47 minutes.

Top Seeds Make Super
Satellite Finals
The top two seeds will contest
both the men's and women's finals in the NSC Squash Super Satellite No1
after prevailing in today's (Sunday) semi-finals at the National Squash
Centre in Bukit Jalil in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
Egypt's No2 seed Mohd Ali
Anwar Reda secured his third successive PSA Tour final berth in KL
this month after overcoming local player Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan, the
fifth seed, 11-6, 11-7, 9-11, 11-10 (6-4) in an 84-minute marathon.
His opponent Dylan Bennett
had a much easier run through to the seventh PSA Tour final of his
career. The favourite from Eindhoven beat his third-seeded Netherlands
compatriot Tom Hoevenaars 11-7, 11-9, 11-7 in just 37 minutes.
There were contrasting
semi-finals in the women's WISPA World Tour event: Top seed Sharon
Wee was taken the full distance by fellow Malaysian Delia Arnold
before beating the fourth seed 9-3, 9-5, 2-9, 0-9, 9-2 in 58 minutes.
Denmark's No2 seed Line
Hansen faced Margriet Huisman - but was able to despatch the third
seed from the Netherlands in four games, winning 4-9, 9-4, 9-6, 9-7 in 47
minutes to reach the fifth Tour title of her career.

Reda Rallies Into Super
Satellite Semis
Egypt's Mohd Ali Anwar Reda is one match away from
his third successive PSA Tour final in Kuala Lumpur this month
after coming through today's (Saturday) quarter-finals of the NSC Squash
Super Satellite No1 at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil
in the Malaysian capital.
Second seed Reda beat Malaysia's Elvinn Keo 11-4,
11-3, 2-11, 11-2 and will now face another local player Mohd Nafiizwan
Adnan in a repeat of the NSC Satellite No2 final.
Fifth seed Adnan defeated Malaysian qualifier Muhd
Asyraf Azan 11-9, 10-11 (0-2),
8-11, 11-8, 11-5 in a 72-minute marathon.
The other men's semi-final will be an all-Dutch affair
between top seed Dylan Bennett and third seed Tom Hoevenaars.
The women's quarter-finals went according to the seedings -
with fourth seed Delia Arnold setting up an all-Malaysian semi-final
against favourite Sharon Wee after despatching Japan's Mami Nishio
9-7, 9-0, 9-2 in just 22 minutes.
Malaysians Mount Upsets In
KL Super Satellite
Malaysians Muhd Asyraf Azan
and Elvinn Keo delighted home fans by surviving the first round of the
NSC Squash Super Satellite No1 after upsetting higher-ranked opponents
in the PSA Tour event at the National Squash Centre in Bukit
Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Azan, an 18-year-old
qualifier, defeated Pakistan's No4 seed Bilal Zaman 11-9, 11-10 (3-1),
11-9, while unseeded Keo, aged 19 from KL, despatched sixth-seeded compatriot
Nafzahizam Adnan - runner-up in last week's Satellite No3 event - 3-11,
11-9, 11-5, 11-6.
Top seed Sharon Wee led
a quartet of Malaysians through to the last eight of the women's WISPA World
Tour event after beating South Korean qualifier Sun-Mi Song 9-1, 9-1,
9-2.
The Antwerp-based 29-year-old
will face compatriot Siti Munirah Jusoh for a place in the semi-finals
after the No7 seed beat India's Surbhi Misra 3-9, 9-0, 9-1, 9-1.
