Hong Kong's Rebecca Chiu claimed her
second WISPA title of the year with a 16-minute demolition of India'
unexpected finalist Joshna Chinappa in the women's final at the
Kowloon Cricket Club, her fifth career title.
Hong Kong's top man Wong Wai Hang couldn't emulate Chiu's feat, as
France's Romain Tenant beat the second seed 3/1 to claim his first
ever PSA title.

Hong Kong's Top Two
Into Perrier Finals
Rebecca Chiu and Wong Wai Hang delighted local fans as both reached
the finals at Kowloon Cricket Club.
Chiu dropped her first game of the event in beating New Zealand's
Tamsyn Leevey and will face a surprise finalist in India's Joshna
Chinappa, who beat Wales' second seed Tegwen Malik.
Hang defeated Frenchman Alexandre Muller in five games in his
semi-final, and faces another Frenchman in the final, after Romain
Tenant beat local giant-killer Faheem Khan 3/1.

Easy For Chiu ...
Top seed and home favourite Rebecca Chiu cruised into the
semi-finals at the Kowloon Cricket Club, dropping just four points in
two matches. In the semi-finals she faces New Zealand champion
Tamsyn Leevey who also has not been tested up to this point.
In the bottom half Wales's second seed Tegwen Malik meets
surprise package Joshna Chinappa after the Indian junior put
out the fourth and eighth seeds on the way to the semi-finals.
Tough for Wong
Meanwhile Hong Kong's top male player Wong Wai-hang has made
harder work of it, needing five games to beat Hong Kong junior Ansong
Kwong in the first round, and four to beat Raymond Chiu in the
quarters.
Both semi-finals will be Hong Kong v France, as qualifier Faheem
Khan stunned top seed Paul Davis while the french pair of
Romain Tenant and Alexandre Muller progressed in
contrasting styles - Tenant scored a 3/0 win over fourth seed Gaurav
Nandrajog while Muller won a 4-2 tie-break in the fifth to see off
Roger Ngan.
