in August
In what could be David’s last year on the
PSA tour, David will try to finish on a winning note in August at the Australian
Open. As a Super Series Platinum event, the Open in Canberra is likely to
attract the top 16 players in the world as they compete for points to become the
Super Series champion. This will make the task of winning his home championships
more challenging but enjoyable. David is hoping that Australian squash
enthusiasts will get behind him and the other Australian players at the Open. A

Magical Venue for
the Open
The Championships will be played in the National Convention Centre in the CBD of
Canberra. This spacious and high quality venue includes the Royal Theatre and
the Exhibition Hall – both to be used extensively during the Open. The Royal
Theatre will allow up to 2,000 people to sit in comfort while watching the
finals on the all-glass court. The Exhibition Hall will have a second glass
court, a Racket Village showcasing the latest high-tech equipment and the Dead
Nick Bar for food, drink, meeting and socialising
