SQUASH SIGN NICK MATTHEW
Dunlop is pleased to announce that Nick Matthew has signed a four year deal with
the brand, to endorse Dunlop squash rackets, luggage, string, grips and balls.
The 28-year-old currently ranks 12th in the Professional Squash
Association (PSA) Men’s World Rankings, and will be using the new Dunlop Aerogel
4D Evolution 120 racket, a signature series frame, available as part of the new
2009 Dunlop squash range. This racket is engineered with Aerogel and 4D
braiding, delivering a perfect balance of power and control for unsurpassed
playability. The Evo 120 also has a raw frame weight of 120g making it the
lightest racket ever produced by Dunlop.
Matthew made his mark on squash history in 2006 when he became the first English
home-grown British Open Champion for 67 years, rounding off a sensational year
which began with him being crowned British National Champion for the first time
and also included him winning the British Grand Prix title. In 2007 he defeated
compatriot James Willstrop in the final of the US Open and was also member of
the England teams which won the Men’s World Team Squash Championships in both
2005 and 2007. Matthew has achieved a highest World Ranking of No.5.

Having been forced to withdraw through injury from successive British National
Championships since winning the title in 2006, Nick can be guaranteed to
challenge for the men’s title to be staged at the National Squash Centre at
Sportcity, Manchester, England from the 9th to 15th
February.
Dunlop’s current stable of top 10 world ranked ambassadors include world number
two Amr Shabana, Gregory Gaultier (ranked 4th) and Ong Beng Hee
(ranked 10th), all of them endorsing Dunlop Aerogel 4D technology.
