Camille
Serme has been named Female Player of the Month for March by the
London-based Squash Player magazine after winning her first
Cleveland Classic title in February.
It was the 26-year-old Frenchwoman’s first PSA Tour title since her
stunning British Open success last May and came the fifth time she
had entered the American W50 event.
“It felt really good to win a tournament again,” the top seed said.
“I know it wasn't a World Series event and it wasn't as prestigious
as the British Open, but I was so happy to finally do better than
the quarter-finals in Cleveland.”
Serme described her recent form as “all right”, adding: “I’ve made
it to the quarters of the World Series every time and reached the
semis at the U.S. Open, so it’s not bad.
“But now I'm looking for more victories. I dream of becoming world
champion and world no.1, so that could be my next target.”
