Squash Player's Annual Youth Awards

Egypt Dominate Youth Awards

Egypt carry off all three of the 2015 Squash Player annual youth awards the Young Players of the Year and the Most Improved Player of the Year.

The honours announced in Issue 1 of the magazine, which comes out at the end of the week go to Nouran Gohar (right), Mazen Hesham and Ali Farag.

Gohar receives the Young Female Player of the Year after following up two major under-19 titles the British Junior Open and World Junior Championship by finishing runner-up at the China Open and entering the world top 10.

Hesham, 21, gets the male version after becoming a surprise British Open quarter-finalist in May and reaching the semi-finals of the Qatar Classic, which lifted him to 13th in the world rankings.

Farag (left) achieved an even bigger leap in the rankings from 86 to 22 and so was an obvious choice for Most Improved Player of the Year.

The Harvard University graduate old enjoyed a 36-9 win-loss year, including a run of 12 straight wins, which took in two titles in Ireland and a run to the Sharm El Sheikh International final.
