WOMEN'S February RANKINGS
Massaro
Maintains World No.1 Position For Second Month |
England’s Laura Massaro has maintained her position as the Women’s
World No.1 for the second consecutive month after topping the
February PSA Women’s World Rankings released today (Feb 1).
Massaro maintains a narrow advantage over rivals Nicol David, who
moves back into second place after falling to a ten-year low of No.3
in December 2015, with Raneem El Welily, the woman Massaro overtook
atop the standings on January 1, dropping to No.3 - her lowest
ranking since 2014.
J.P. Morgan Tournament of Champions winner Nour El Sherbini moves up
a World No.4 while runner-up in that tournament Amanda Sobhy, the
top ranked American player, moves up to a new career-high of World
No.7.
After reaching the semi-final in New York World Junior Champion
Nouran Gohar has moved up to a new career-high of World No.8 while
England’s Alison Waters has fallen to a four-year low of No.13.
