December - Women's PLAYER OF THE MONTH

Nour El Sherbini has been named Female Player of the Month for
December by the London-based Squash Player magazine for reaching
the final of the $115,000 Qatar Classic in November.
The 20-year-old sixth seed knocked out British Open winner
Camille Serme and eight-time world champion Nicol David before
pushing England’s Laura Massaro all the way to the World Series
title.
El Sherbini’s run continued her impressive start to the 2015-16
season, in which she has also won the $50,000 Carol Weymuller
Open in New York.
“I’ve worked really hard to improve my game plan and my team has
been working to improve my mental strength duringmatches,” the
world no.8 revealed. “Also, they’ve implemented new physical
training techniques that I believe are working well. Hopefully,
we will keep improving.”
The three-time world junior champion’s team comprises her
brother, Omar, and Roushdy Mabrouk, who have been her coaches
since she was six, plus her fitness coach for the past six
years, Waleed El Mosalamy.
El Sherbini’s next target is the PSA World Championship in
Malaysia, an event in which she finished runner-up in Marchlast
year.
