October PSA Player of the Month Mohamed Reda continued his fine form
into November with a 3-1 victory over Jens Schoor allowing him to
capture the Qatar Circuit I, PSA M15 title.
The 26-year-old, who lifted two PSA World Tour titles last month,
had to negotiate a tough five-game-thriller with home favourite
Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi in the semi-final while Schoor eased past
Ammar Altamimi to reach the final.
It was Reda though who started the better of the two, mixing up
plenty of fine shots from his repertoire to establish a one-game
lead.
Top seed Schoor was gunning for his maiden PSA World Tour title of
2015 and he fought back in the second to restore parity to
proceedings.
However, a determined display from Reda in the final two games
resulted in another swing of the momentum and the Egyptian pressed
on to an 11-8, 8-11, 11-3, 12-10 victory to win a 15th career PSA
World Tour crown.

Seeds Set Up Qatar Circuit Showdown
#PSAWorldTour
Jens Schoor and Mohamed Reda, seeds one and two respectively, have
secured their places in the final of the Qatar Circuit I, PSA M15
event after recording hard-fought victories in their semi-final
fixtures.
Germany’s Schoor took on Ammar Altamimi in his bid to reach the
showpiece event and came out on top in the tie-break of an
exceedingly tight opening game.
He pressed on well from there though, taking control of the match to
wrap up a 14-12, 11-3, 11-6 triumph and see him through to his first
PSA World Tour final of 2015.
Reigning PSA Player of the Month Reda, on the other hand, had to
negotiate a tough five-game affair against home favourite Abdulla
Mohd Al Tamimi in his semi-final match. The Egyptian World No.50
took the first game and, despite falling 2-1 behind after a comeback
from Al Tamimi, managed to round off the win in five to reach the
final.
