WELCOME TO THE FUTURE

Feisty young Pharaohs Mostafa Asal and Hania El Hammamy are our cover stars in the final Squash Player magazine issue of 2020. Asal defends his extravagant and controversial style which has got the squash world talking, while El Hammamy tells us her seemingly inevitable rise to world No.1 will happen “all in good time”.

We launch our new Shop section in association with pdhsports.com and reveal the winners in our Rolex by Michael Spiers Annual Awards, which this year feature a special ‘Services to Squash’ prize and the personal highlights of our expert panellists.

Elsewhere in the issue, we speak to world champion turned ‘super coach’ Rodney Martin, our ‘State of the Game’ investigation continues and in our Workshop section, world No.1 Ali Farag tells us all about his game, including his use of the Koran for inspiration.

French champion Camille Serme once again gives us her thoughts in her personal column alongside international contributors James Zug, Alex Wan and 'In Squash' podcast host Gerry Gibson.

Renowned former Egyptian national coach Hesham El Attar joins our stable of coaching experts including Jesse Engelbrecht, Ronny Vlassaks and Phillip Marlowe, and we also hear from Omar Abdel Aziz, coach to Nouran Gohar and Karim Abdel Gawad.

Head and Dunlop make big announcements in our Gear section, in which we also review the latest shoes and bring you our guide to buying new footwear. We road-test the Racketware ‘micro coach’ and take a dip inside Nele Gilis’ bag. All this, and Amanda Sobhy brings us the latest gossip in ‘From the Gallery’.
