El Welily wins Squash Player’s Player of the Month
award

El Welily narrowly won Squash Player Women’s Player of the Month ahead
of fellow Egyptian Nour El Tayeb.
The world no.1 took the vote of the judging panel on account of her
comprehensive 3/0 victory over El Tayeb in the final of the NetSuite
Open in only 23 minutes.
The new world no.3 had started the month by defeating El Welily 3/2 in a
70-minute thriller in the China Open decider.
