Elias wins Squash Player’s Player of the
Month award

Elias is Squash Player’s Player of the Month, after winning Peru’s first
squash gold medal at the Pan American Games in July in front of his home
fans.
The 22-year-old top seed defeated defending champion Miguel Rodriguez
11-6, 7-11, 12-10, 11-8 in a 65-minute men's final before a packed
partisan crowd in Lima.
Elias’s win avenged his loss in the 2015 final to the Colombian and was
the Peruvian's first ever win over his 33-year-old regional rival from
Bogota in seven meetings.
