Qualifier Mostafa Asal takes the Paineiras title

Egyptian qualifier Mostafa Asal who took the title after defeated France’s number four seed Victor Crouin in straight-games.

World No.194 Asal has been a player in form on the PSA World Tour, claiming three titles after playing just five tournaments. The Egyptian recently won the Tour de las Americas – Regatas Resistencia Open and the Tour de las Americas Mar del Plata Open 2018 Decker Camiones Cup and in both tournaments came through qualifying to take the title.

And the 17-year-old showed no signs of slowing down as he took out World No.94 Crouin – who is ranked 100 places above him in the Men’s World Rankings – in 58 minutes by an 11-9, 11-6, 11-7 margin.
