Dunlop Signs Nouran Gohar as New Squash Ambassador
Egyptian
World No. 5 Nouran Gohar has signed an agreement with Dunlop
International Co. Ltd to become a squash ambassador for the brand.
The rising star won her first tour title at the Prague Open in
December 2013 at just 16-years-old. She continued her winning streak
and broke into the world’s top 20 after a victory at the Monte Carlo
Classic in 2014. A quarter-final finish at the Texas Open in 2015
pushed her into the top 15, and she moved into the world’s top 10
later that year after making it to the finals at the Macau Open.
Gohar’s win at the Hong Kong Open in 2016—her first World Series
title—thrusted her into the top 5, where she remains.
“We are excited to welcome Nouran as Dunlop’s newest squash
ambassador. She is highly talented and we look forward to building a
successful partnership with her for many years to come,” said Dunlop
Marketing Director, Jamie Douglas.
"I
am absolutely delighted and honoured to become part of the Dunlop
Team. It is a privilege to be part of a prestigious and valuable
company like Dunlop that possesses such a big reputation and history
within squash," said Goran.
She joins Greg Gaultier (No. 1), Nick Matthew (No. 4), Ali Farag
(No.5) and Diego Elias (No. 19) to strengthen the international
Dunlop Squash Tour Team.
Gohar will play with Dunlop’s latest Hyperfibre Revelation 125
racket. She will also be a brand ambassador for Dunlop squash balls,
apparel, luggage and grips.
