Sheffield PORTRAITS

In the fourth Sheffield Portrait Framboise
talks to English qualifier Scott Handley...

I’M CONCENTRATING
ON MY GAME !

How does a player ranked 78 in the world prepare himself for a match against a ranked 13?

“By concentrating on my own game”, replied very simply the charming father to be Scott Handley this morning.

“I have been playing James for quite a long time now, especially as a junior, I know him quite well. To tell you the truth, I just concentrate on my game, not thinking of James’, trying to get the best length possible, as I’m still aware that James can be lethal at the front. If I don’t find a good length it could be a quite punishing evening for me!”

“So, my plan, staying in front as much as possible, and enjoy the moment!”

And when I talked about what was REALLY important, he said:

“I absolutely delighted, and I don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl, I’m sure HE will be lovely, as his mother.”

Lovely touch of Dame Nature, the official arrival is meant to be the day of the couple’s anniversary, on the 25th January.

Good luck Scott, for both events….
