THE EAST WINTERGARDEN
The East Wintergarden, completed in October 2003, is a stunning glass atrium
between two new office towers which will be used for private hire, events,
public entertainment and exhibitions, and is situated adjacent to the
Jubilee Line station at Canary Wharf and a short walk from the Heron Quays
and Canary Wharf Docklands Light Railway stations.

CANARY WHARF GROUP plc
The Canary Wharf Squash Classic 2004 is hosted by Canary Wharf Group plc.
Canary Wharf is a major business centre, covering an area of 86 acres some
three miles to the east of the Bank of England in the City of London.
The Estate currently has a daily population of approximately 63,000, which
will increase to over 100,000 when the estate is fully built. Subject to
market conditions, Canary Wharf is expected to be completed within the next
five years.
Canary Wharf is more than just a tower: the development to date comprises 17
office buildings, three retail centres, two conference and banqueting
centres, two Docklands Light Railway stations, a Jubilee Line station, car
parks and approximately 20 acres of landscaped open spaces.
Our tenants came from a variety of industry sectors including media,
banking, legal firms and public bodies. They include HSBC, Citigroup, The
Telegraph Group, Trinity Mirror, Morgan Stanley, Clifford Chance, CSFB, the
FSA, Readers Digest, KPMG, Tubelines and Chevron Texaco. They all enjoy
access to over 600,000 sq ft of retail at Canary Wharf, with over 200 shops,
bars and restaurants on offer. The vast majority travel to Canary Wharf on
public transport, utilising the DLR, Jubilee Line or bus and coach
facilities.
Canary Wharf offers an on-going programme of arts and events activities.
Co-ordinated by the Arts and Events department, the varied programme
includes music concerts, comedy clubs, food and wine events, street theatre,
sporting and outdoor events, cinema, dance, visual arts, and literature
events. Just some of the artists to have appeared at Canary Wharf include
Joan Armatrading, Eddi Reader, Chick Corea, Glenn Tilbrook, James Taylor
Quartet and Jools Holland. |
