Organisers of the 2006
Brit Insurance Super Series Finals are offering all amateur squash fans the
unique opportunity to win a place in the 2006 Celebrity-Am Doubles
Tournament with the chance to team up with a celebrity and play in front of
a packed house at London’s Broadgate Arena.
The event will take place on the Brit
Insurance Super Series Finals tournament court on the Thursday and Friday of
tournament week (11th - 12th May) - and an exciting list of
celebrities awaits. Amongst those already confirmed include former Surrey
and England cricket captain Alec Stewart, Great Britain rugby league legend
Ellery Hanley and footballer Luther Blissett.
Sponsors Brit Insurance are offering
eight amateur squash fans the chance to take part in this unique doubles
competition on the all-glass tournament court.
In order to book their place in the Broadgate line-up, players will be
invited to take part in one of two qualifying events will take place at
Lamb’s Health and Fitness club (1 Lamb’s Passage, Chiswell St, London EC1)
on the 24th and 27th April (from 5.00pm).
All amateur players are welcome and entry is absolutely free. Both
qualifying events will take the form of a singles knock-out competition with
four players progressing each night to the Semi-Finals of the Celebrity-Am
doubles at Broadgate Arena on Thursday 11th May. The winners will contest
the final in front of a packed crowd at Broadgate Arena on Friday 12th May,
providing the curtain raiser to the main event.
