19-Sep, Week EIGHT:

AFFIRMATION CARDS:
UNTRUE THOUGHTS ARE TRUE FOR US

Last time, we discovered Brainwave patterns and how to access them. One of the fascinating discoveries that arose from being able to manage brainwave patterns was that, under certain conditions learning can be enhanced predictably and easily .
You will learn faster and retain the information longer.

The information that you desire for your Sport has to be retained in the subconscious, and remember that once we have accessed the subconscious, the thoughts cannot be changed, unless under extreme conditions. Hence you have the total Belief Patterns of Religious Groups, such as; Hare Krishna, Buddhists, Catholics, Islamic Protestants, all have a Prayer, a Rosary, a Chant, a Repetition that Brain washes each individual into training the sub conscious. All that we have done is to bring this method into a sporting Context.

Affirmations bring
Positive Change

Affirmations are sometimes known as self-instruction or autosuggestion, and it is one of the easiest techniques to help you to bring about Positive Change. As a Psychological Tool it can be all-powerful. An Affirmation is simply a set of words that depend on REPETITION for their power. As these words are repeated over and over they begin to influence your subconscious, and become self-fulfilling, with the words that you choose, determining the results that you achieve. It sounds simple, it is simple, and it works, look at the results of David. The key is to use the right words for you, not words someone else has suggested. That is where the McQuaig Word Survey is so important.

These Affirmation Words have four golden rules.

1) They must be Positive.
2) They must be written in the First Person.
3) They must be Achievable.
4) They must be Repetitive.

To go a little further, choose words that are present tense, emotive, active, straight forward, and positive. "I know that I can achieve a much higher ranking in 6 months “The words of David were " I am the best Player in the World “. Now this was blatantly untrue at the time, but his subconscious was tricked into believing it, the Negatives disappeared, he trained harder because he know believed that he was the best in the World, yet he was only Ranked 13. It worked!!!! His Confidence was raised to new levels, and as I have said, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Untrue Thoughts are True for Us.

One of our Psychological Requirements in our list of 50. The thoughts of David were blatantly false, but they got into the Alpha Brain Wave Learning Zone, repeated these Affirmations, got it into the subconscious which accepted it, and they became true. It is, as I have continually stated, a self fulfilling prophesy. Yes it will work for YOU; you will achieve your full potential, whatever that may be.

Now that we have covered the basic points of accelerated learning we must decide what to learn. We must set down our Goals, and I repeat that we must cover ALL of the areas of Sport, not just the Technical and Physical that your Coaches teach you, but the Tactical side, where you are taught a little, and the Psychological areas, where you must admit, total ignorance. It is too late to go to a Sport Psychologist. The damage has been done. Learn the 50 Psychological Requirements of your Sport, learn to measure and evaluate them. Learn how to access the Brain for accelerated learning, and retention.

Go over the point that I have disclosed today ”Untrue thoughts are true for you." Think about it. Look at the potential in you for your own improvement. Next time we will teach you Goal Setting. When reading the following quotation, recall all of the difficulties encountered by David Palmer in his career and how he overcame them.
