Pakistan's Carla Khan captured her second WISPA World Tour title in only her second appearance in a final when she defeated unseeded Australian Melissa Martin in a five-game thriller in the climax of the Women's Ottawa International in Canada.

Seventh seed Khan, aged 22 and based in England, reached the final after upsetting England's No2 seed Dominique Lloyd-Walter in the semi-finals.

Martin, originally from Adelaide but now based with her husband Brett Martin, a former world top five player, in Southport, Connecticut, raced to a 2/0 lead in the final.

Khan, ranked 32 in the world, 15 places above her opponent, rediscovered her form in a dramatic fight back - and ultimately claimed a resounding 3-9 4-9 9-4 9-7 9-3 victory in 54 minutes

Unseeded Australian Melissa Martin and Pakistan's seventh seed Carla Khan will meet in the final of the Women's Ottawa International after four-game victories in the semi-finals in Ottawa, Canada.

Connecticut-based Martin ended New Zealand qualifier Tamsyn Leevey's impressive run in a 9-2 9-1 4-9 10-8 defeat in 39 minutes to reach her first appearance in a WISPA World Tour final.

After being whitewashed in the first game, UK-based Khan fought back to upset England's second seed Dominique Lloyd-Walter 0-9 9-2 10-8 9-5 in 52 minutes.

Leevey run continues
in Ottawa

New Zealand's qualifier Tamsyn Leevey continued her fine run, reaching the semi-finals at the Goodlife Club with a 54-minute victory over England's eighth seed Laura Lengthorn. Leevey meets Australia's Melissa Martin in the semis, while in the bottom half second seed Dominique Lloyd-Walter faces Carla Khan.

Wee In Ottawa

In an opening day littered with upsets, New Zealand qualifier Tamsyn Leevey caused the biggest shock when she twice came from behind to defeat top-seeded Malaysian Sharon Wee to earn a place in the quarter-finals of the Women's
Ottawa International Squash Championship in Canada.

The 25-year-old from Wellington needed 68 minutes to outlast Wee in a 7-9 9-0 0-9 10-8 9-0 scoreline - and now faces England's Laura Lengthorn, the eighth seed, who beat compatriot Rebecca Botwright, a qualifier, 9-6 9-3 9-4.

There was also a New Zealand casualty when third seed Lara Petera was beaten 9-8 9-7 9-3 by Samantha Teran. The unseeded Mexican goes on to face Pakistan's seventh seed Carla Khan, who beat Danish qualifier Line Hansen 9-0 9-4 9-4.
