Nottingham
is to stage its first Racketball tournament in September, with a new event
at Nottingham Squash Club.
The
tournament will be Graded (A, B and C) and open to men and women of all
standards, and is being held in response to growing demand from neighbouring
areas.
According
to manger Ian Smith. “This is our first Racketball tournament and we hope
this will be the first of many. Racketball is not yet popular in
Nottinghamshire with only a handful of members playing at NSRC.
There are
counties close to us were Racketball is very popular - like Sheffield where
Racketball is more popular than Squash. So we are trying to get Racketball
off the ground in Nottingham by holding this event.”
