SQUASH SUPERLEAGUE
LINE-UPS ANNOUNCED

Exeter Imperials have demonstrated a clear will not to be pipped at the SuperLeague post as they were dramatically last season. Their squad, released today, features three of the world top ten, headed by Australian Stewart Boswell, the current world number four. With French number one Thierry Lincou and Malaysian star Ong Beng Hee, ranked six and seven respectively, they take a formidable squad into the SuperLeague programme which starts just before Christmas.

Exeter will also cause some interest with their nomination of top woman Sarah Fitz-Gerald in their squad. Team manager Tony Snell expects to give her at least one outing to see how she fares against the men. Sarah signs for Exeter

Title-holders Halifax Home Insurance have added Simon Parke to their squad which features world number eight Lee Beachill and rising star James Willstrop who is poised to breach the world top fifty.

So often at the front of the queue when trophies are distributed, Welsh side Dunraven Windows Maesteg will again field a compelling strike force in Australian David Palmer (world ranked three) and John White, ranked two places lower. With Martin Heath, the other top Scot, in their line-up, they would expect to be challenging in the title run-in next spring.

Alex Gough has been transferred from Exeter to Linden Homes Winchester to bolster the Hampshire team led by Australian Paul Price and including countryman Dan Jenson, now resurgent after long term injury. Meanwhile, Ipswich have not been idle during the summer either. They have brought in evergreen Chris Walker and South African Rodney Durbach to supplement Pete Genever and Bradley Ball to mount their challenge.

The exciting addition of a team from Guernsey has been put on hold while they attempt to make up the funding shortfall caused by a cutback by their intended sponsor.

Battle begins after the World Open in December and continue until the end of March.
