Philip Newton is a Chartered Physiotherapist and is Director of the Lilleshall Sports Injury Rehab Centre.

The Rehab services at Lilleshall are unique within the UK & have an unrivalled history of helping sports people return to competitive action. Philip was involved in setting up the Lilleshall Sports Injury Centre in 1986 & was approached by Matt Hammond (the inaugural England Squash World Class Performance Director) in 1998 to provide Physiotherapy support to the programme. Since that time Philip has provided Physio cover to England players at major squash events around the world.

Philip has always played squash to what he describes as a "social level". However his wife Pauline (who is also a Physio with England Performance Players) may question the "social" nature of Philip's squash as she has had many bruises following squash encounters with her husband.

Philip has & continues to work with athletes from many different sports. However, his admiration for the physical & psychological conditioning of professional squash players has resulted in him viewing his squash work as "a labour of love".
