Nicol and Power in Aberdeen ...[1] Peter Nicol (SCO) bt [2] Jonathon Power (CAN) 15-12 15-12 15-9

Scotland's world No1 Peter Nicol avenged his defeat by Canada's world No2 Jonathon Power in last December's British Open final when he beat his arch rival 3-0 in the final .

It was the pair's first meeting since the British Open climax in Nicol's hometown of Aberdeen, where the Scot conceded his title to Power after falling ill with food poisoning. Nicol's win at the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club reduces Power's career 'head-to-head' lead over him to 10-8.

Nicol ended Australian David Palmer's run in his first PSA Super Series semi-final, beating the 23-year-old world No11 from Lithgow, NSW  3-1 at the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.

Power, the 25-year-old from Toronto who failed to progress beyond the first round of last week's Flanders Open in Belgium, was in sparkling form as he avenged his defeat by world No4 Simon Parke in December's US Open final to beat the Nottingham-based Englishman 3-0.

The final will mark Nicol and Power's 18th career meeting since October 1995, with the Canadian currently boasting a 10-7 advantage.
