take Euro Club Champs

It was England v Germany in the finals of the 16th European Team Championships in Odense, and it finished level with Paderborn claiming the men's title and Pontefract the women's.

In the men's final Germany's Paderborn beat English club champions Colets 8-6 on games countback, with Tim Garner, partnered by world number one Peter Nicol, clinching the victory in the final match.

English women's champions Pontefract added the European title to their impressive collection, with Sarah Fitz-Gerald and Becky Botwright sealing the title for the Yorkshire club before  Cassie Jackman won a consolation point for Mulheim in the dead rubber.
