New magazine out

World no.7 Sarah-Jane Perry was once told she would never make it as a top squash professional, but next month she will be rubbing shoulders with the women's elite at the PSA World Series Finals in Dubai.

The 27-year-old, who recently led England to victory in the European Women's Team Championship, tells Rod Gilmour how she silenced her critics in a revealing interview in the latest issue of Squash Player.

England men's no.1 Nick Matthew reports on events on and off court from those European Championships in his Gallery column, while team-mate Declan James writes about his debut in Helsinki.

Richard Eaton, the doyen of squash writers, looks back on the recent PSA Women's World Championship in El Gouna and there is a competition to win the Tecnifibre racket used by world no.1 Nour El Sherbini in retaining her world title.

We also have features from Mike Dale on the man behind SquashLevels.com, Squash Player Club of the Year Market Harborough and the rise of junior squash in Kent.

All the regular sections are there as well, including Drew's Diagnosis, Physio's Therapy, On Court, Off Court, Coaches' Corner, Practice Routines, Mastershot and History, while Peter Nicol is the latest addition to our Hall of Fame and Essex teenager Elise Lazarus is our 1ToWatch.

Selected articles can be found on squashplayer.co.uk and a complete trial digital edition can be found on Squash Player Digital . Just type in your email address and create a password.
